If you are a gamer and have been playing The Witcher series along with Cyberpunk series as well by CD Projekt Red, you would probably be aware of the rumors that have been all around for quite a while now. Yes, you guessed it, we are talking about the character of Ciri making an appearance in Cyberpunk 2077. However, not much is known yet about the final verdict and so we have gathered all the information that is out there for you to go through and have yourself prepared for the game of the year, Cyberpunk 2077!
The facts that we know about Cyberpunk 2077’s character Ciri can be divided in to three main references and so we will go by all three of them here in order to be sure that we have covered every fact known! Ciri Talks about it herself:
The first and the most legitimate information is obviously from the comment that the character made herself in The Witcher 3. While explaining all the other worlds that she had been in and this one specific one which worked as an escape for almost half a year, she describes a world exactly like that of Cyberpunk. This was a pickup line for most of the fans who really want these two universes to combine and have some sort of interaction. Although, it might not really be the best of ideas, considering the timelines and the theme of the stories, we really would appreciate it more as long as they are in separate universes. This in no way means that a brief description of Ciri is not possible in Cyberpunk 2077, maybe just like she indirectly referred to the world of Cyberpunk, they can have a brief moment where a character that resembles her look is mentioned and then the game can go on with its own theme!
Director’s Comment:
The director of any game or movie holds much importance when it comes to decisions like these and as is evident by the comment that Adam Badowski, the game director made in one of his interviews made it very clear that he hates this question. The exact comment that he made while giving answer to the host was that:
“We are not Kingdom Hearts,” he told me. “We are not joining universes, and I know that there are a lot of fans on the team and they would like to have Ciri in the game. But I am totally against it, still.”
Well, he does kind of makes sense here. I mean joining universes at this point might just create much more confusion than required and although people are highly anticipating this character’s entrance in the world of Cyberpunk, they might not even enjoy it that much! However, it can also be seen that nothing is really certain because people on the team might even want it as much as the fans does and Adam Badowski might just alter the story a bit in order to satisfy the larger audience or he could also stick to his original plan. After all, he is the director and has the authority to make the final decision!
Possibilities:
So, after discussing the facts based on the two legitimate sources, we can now discuss a couple of possibilities that maybe true when it comes to Ciri. The first one as stated above as well could be the fact that there might be a brief description of her through the characters and not any sort of appearance. The second could be a very brief appearance, that you might bump into her while finding your way around, but she will make an exit as swift as her entrance. And finally, although not very likely could be the fact that she becomes a part of this universe as well and both the realities go hand in hand. If this were to be the case, one thing we would be most excited about is her appearance and how her style changes in order to blend into the Cyberpunk world. We bet that the Cyberpunk 2077 Ciri Jacket would become the highlight of the game when it comes to styling if she were to become a permanent part of this universe or at least a significant one!
